Getting Started with Blushield: Set-Up, Placement and Charging

From choosing your device to settling in, step by step.

Choosing your Blushield

Step 1: Take stock of your environment

Before choosing a device, spend 5 minutes noticing what’s around you:

  • How many Wi-Fi networks appear when you open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings?
  • Are there mobile towers or antennas nearby? (AU/NZ: rfnsa.com.au · UK: TBC)
  • Do you have a smart meter, solar inverter or battery system?
  • How many connected devices are in your home?
  • Are you rural, suburban, city or inner-city?

Step 2: Which Blushield should I buy? Choose your home unit

Your environment Consider
Rural or small town Phi 2 Plug-In (smaller homes) or Phi 3 Hex Cube
Suburban Phi 3 Hex Cube or C1 Ultimate Cube
Larger home or busier urban area Phi 4 or C1 Ultimate Cube
Inner city, near towers or 5G, smart home EVO Cube or EVO Pyramid
Commercial or multi-occupant spaces EVO Pyramid
If you are EHS or Neurodivergent B1 Sensitive Cube

A note on choosing your device: The "Right for Now" option is matched to your current density and suits a tighter budget. The "Future-Proof" option costs more but has extra capacity in case that changes, for example if new towers or devices are added near you. It can also save you upgrading later. Both are sensible choices, so pick the one that suits your home and your budget.

Step 3: Add a portable

A portable keeps you in a Blushield field when you’re away from home. Choose the one from the same series as your home unit, so the field you carry matches the one you live in. Get one for each person who spends time away from home.

Setting up your Blushield

Step 4: Unbox and check

Check you have your device, power supply or cord, and the right plug adapter (AU/NZ: Type I · UK: Type G · EU: Type C/F).

Step 5: Where to put your Blushield home unit

  • Choose a dry, stable spot, ideally central in your home, away from pets and small children.
  • Fit the adapter and plug in. Don’t force it.
  • Switch on at the wall.
  • Check the light. The Phi 2 and Phi 3 show white with a brief flicker, the C1 shows blue, and the EVO shows orange, on for about 30 seconds and off for about 5 seconds.
  • Leave it on 24/7.

Step 6: How to charge your Blushield portable

  • Phi 1: flashes red while charging and turns solid green when full (just under 2 hours). The field pauses while it charges.
  • Sensitive, Ultimate and EVO Portables: the battery lights fill up, and the fourth light turns solid when full (about 3 hours).
  • W1 Ultimate Watch: place it face down on the magnetic charger for about 3 to 4 hours.

Please Note: A charging cord is not included with portables. Any standard USB-C cord works.

Living with Blushield

Step 7: Make it part of your routine

Switch your portable on as you head out and off when you’re home. Keeping it with your keys makes this easy. Top it up before it runs flat.

Step 8: Keep your good habits

Blushield works best as part of an EMF-aware lifestyle. We recommend still turning Wifi off at night, and keeping devices out of the bedrooms and off or on airplane mode.

Step 9: Give it 2 weeks, and notice

Everyone’s experience is different. Some people feel a little off in the first few days, such as more tired than usual or with changes in sleep, before settling in. Others notice little at first. Allow a full 2 weeks before judging how it’s going.

Over the first few weeks, jot down how your home, sleep and days feel. If anything feels uncomfortable, use it for shorter periods at first and get in touch.

Blushield battery care checklist

  • Top it up before it runs flat, and keep it between roughly 20% and 80% where you can.
  • Don’t leave it charging 24/7.
  • Avoid heat, such as hot cars, dashboards or charging under pillows. Avoid charging when it’s very cold.
  • For storage, leave it about half charged in a cool, dry place.
  • Use a good-quality charger.
